We strongly believe that the conservation of the environment and natural resources are essential to productive and ethical success in our business. For this reason, we have chosen to package all MESOMEX^TM Artisan Mexican Sauces, and commit to package any products in the future, with recyclable materials from the bottles and cartons, to shipping fill.

FACTS:

All MESOMEX^TM Artisan Sauces are bottled in PET 1 and PETE 1 plastic bottles.

Our bottles are made locally in Hagerstown, MD which drastically reduces the fuel costs in getting them to us. This way, we are supporting local business rather than ordering bottles from another country.

PET/PETE 1 plastic bottles are lightweight, resealable, shatter-resistant and recyclable. These bottles are 100% recyclable into products such as Fiber, tote bags, new PET/PETE 1 containers for both food and non-food products, fabric for clothing, athletic shoes, luggage, upholstery, furniture, carpet, fiberfill for sleeping bags and winter coats, industrial strapping, sheet, and film, and automotive parts, such as luggage racks, headliners, fuse boxes, bumpers, grilles and door panels.

PET/PETE 1 bottles require less energy to produce. Since they are so lightweight, compared to glass, they require less energy to ship as well. Additionally, they are not made with the chemical Bisphenol A (BPA).

We only use corrugated cardboard case pack boxes which are also 100% recyclable. In fact, most are made from recycled materials themselves.

We only use environmentally friendly degradable Clean Green Packing Material that contains no polyethylene and is made of entirely natural materials. It dissolves in water and is even considered an acceptable soil enhancer.
